ABC – Adult Bible Communities

abcsDo you miss the glory days of playing on your high school sports team? If so, come join the ABC team. Adult Bible Communities at TRBC minister to adults by facilitating them with means of learning more about the Word and growing in their walks with Christ. In order to accomplish this, a team made up of leaders is needed to make sure everything runs smoothly and souls are won for Christ.


Team Positions:

The Coaches communicate between the ABC director and the leaders while keeping track of attendance, preparing class packets and managing the coffee supplies and portable projectors.

The Leaders take on the function of a team manager. They lead weekly lessons, organize class leadership, complete class attendance and manage the class budget.

The Co-leaders take on the roll of an assistant team manager helping the leader however they are asked and filling in for the leader when needed.

Prayer coordinators are the team batboys. They manage the most valuable tool the team has –– prayer. They keep track of all class and church prayer requests, and make the class aware of them. They must also attend scheduled training.

The Activities coordinators act as the umpires. They call the shots. Well, in reality, they plan activities and check with the master calendar, while working with the missions coordinator to plan community events.

The Refreshment coordinators are the team water boys. They are responsible to organize refreshments for Sunday mornings and special events, and to maintain the coffee closet.

The Member Care Leaders are the team trainers. They maintain and are responsible for communicating needs and events in the lives of class members.

The Visitation Leaders are the team scouts. They visit class members and visitors, and help other members reach out to visitors.

Discussion Leaders are the team pitchers. They divide the class into balanced discussion groups and facilitate the questions used in discussion.

Assimilation Leaders are the team captains. They pick out the new members in class, gather information for them about membership and help them assimilate into the new church.

Missions Leaders are the team mascots. They represent the team out in the stands, or in this case the community. They communicate and coordinate local, national and international missions needs to the class and help with the funding.
