Children
The Children’s Ministry at TRBC needs adults who are passionate about ministering to children in a high-energy environment. Positions are available in various areas and in different time slots, so if you desire to work with children you are sure to find something that will work with your schedule. Not all positions are currently available, but check the site periodically for updates.
Sunday 8:30 & 11:00
The large group directors/speakers are responsible to prepare lessons and oversee a large group of high-energy kids. They coordinate workers for music, puppets, media, announcements and lessons. This position requires two hours on Sundays and preparation during the week. Currently there are no openings for this position.
3 large group assistants are needed to help directors with overall production needs, which include announcements, offerings, visitors, birthdays, puppets and crowd control. Must commit to two hours every Sunday morning.
6 general assistants are needed to oversee specific age group areas by maintaining order, taking kids to the restroom and helping out where needed. Must commit to one and a half hours on Sunday mornings.
1 praise team leader is needed to oversee and lead worship for 4th and 5th graders during specific services. Practice time is from 9:15-10:00 on Sunday mornings.
2 adults and 1 teen are needed as media directors for two hours on Sunday mornings. Media directors are responsible for lighting, sound and video needs during specific service times.
1 adult is needed for the puppet and drama team to coordinate and oversee puppets or drama for specific services. The time commitment is two hours every Sunday and preparation during the week.
Sunday 9:15
6 small group lead teachers are needed to oversee a small group of 15-20 children and prepare the lessons. Must be available for two hours on Sunday and prepare lessons throughout the week.
12 small group assistants are needed to assist lead teachers with activities, crafts, snacks and teaching. Must commit to two hours on Sundays and prepare during the week.
2 adults are needed to work in welcome/check-in. They will be responsible for checking children in to the correct classes and preparing birthday, visitor and missing you cards.
AWANA and iTruths (6pm)
The large group director/speaker is responsible to prepare and oversee a high-energy large group program. They teach lessons and coordinate workers in music, media, announcements and lessons. This position is currently filled.
The media director is responsible for lighting, sound and video needs. This position is currently filled.
2 praise team directors are needed to oversee and lead worship for 4th and 5th graders. Must commit to one hour and practice time on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:00.
5 small group leaders are needed to oversee a small group of five to seven kids. This includes listening to AWANA verses and leading a team during game time. Must commit to one and a half hours.
2 welcome/check-in volunteers are needed to greet and check-in children and record AWANA sections. Must commit to one and a half hours.
Wednesday nights (6:15)
The choir director directs the choir and oversees the choir singing opportunities. This position is currently filled.
2 choir assistants are needed for one hour to assist the choir director during all practice and singing times.
4 small group leaders are needed for the mission program to lead a group of eight to 10 children in a lesson, discussion, prayer and activity time. Must commit to one and a half hours.
1 person is needed to work welcome/check-in to greet and check children in to the program.
Other children’s programs:
The Sports program needs coaches, assistant coaches and referees for soccer and flag football in the fall, basketball in the winter and tee-ball, soccer and softball in the spring. Days and times vary with each season.
Vacation Bible School takes place every year in June. Recruiting begins in March. The VBS program needs group leaders, assistants, craft and activity leaders, a drama team and decorators.
