Tech

Visual/Lighting:
There are currently no positions open for media specialists; however, those with special skills with lighting, video or media can help the technical team as needed.

Production Support:
Production Support areas are the glue that holds everything together, and the grease that keeps everything moving smooth. Monitors are needed for the A/V room, and Lighting/Video/Audio assistants are needed. Volunteers are also needed to set up and clear the platform and Main Street on call, help with programming, ect. As in all other areas of need, we’d like to have everyone involved in something so that it can be a lighter commitment on all.

IT/Communications
Here is a quick rundown of the needs and types of people needed in IT and Communications at TRBC :
- Hardware Geeks – we’ve got a small “lab” that we refurbish, repair, clean, rebuild, and even sometimes “Frankenstein” a machine out of parts.
- OS/Apps Geeks – We have a mixed environment of Macs and PCs… so ”super power user” knowledge of OSX (Leopard/Snow) and XP is cool - not many if any Vista boxes around. Lots of users on MS Office, others on Apple iWorks. A few users on Adobe stuff that might need a hand every now and then. (Between Hardware and OS geeks we’d need an occasional field trip to some of the off-campus ministries like 50Plus and Elim Home to help keep their gear running and current.)
- Web/App Devs – we get projects from time to time, even have a slight backlog now of internal ones, where we get “oh it would be cool if we had something that would let me ______”
- Website Propellerheads… we’re moving more and more sites and subsites we maintain to the Wordpress framework. So someone well-versed in the backend aspect of Wordpress, or someone who lives HTML and PHP and is a fast learner <grin>
- Graphics Ponytails – folks good with Photoshop/Illustrator and have ”that eye”. creating logos, web artwork, brochures, flyers, handouts, etc etc etc…
- Comm Spinners - Like to communicate, know how to pull information together, help present it? We need some help helping the other departments stay “on message”, help with marketing ideas and projects.
Please let us know what area(s) interest you, what your talent and skill levels are, and most important, how many hours a week you can give us!
